Within a scale of 0 to 10, zero is the lowest and ten is the highest, offer yourself a number in your relationship to how your feel gratitude in this genuine and real moment (no-judgment or overthinking). Again, zero is the lowest and ten is the highest, lock in your private felt number.
Taking in 3 long deep breaths.
Open yourself to invoke the feeling that leans into being full of gratitude.
Think of gratitude by way of an experience, a moment, a time, a connection, a creative outlet/activity, or engagement maybe in nature (the ocean, the lake, the shores, the mountains, the forest, the cabin, the ski slope).
Or gratitude from reading a poignant line from a book or gratitude watching a classic favorite movie, gratitude from visual scrapbooked travel memory to gratitude in a favorite meal shared.
Recalling gratitude by smell of a holiday/celebratory treat or gratitude participating in a family tradition.
Gratitude can be from a sacred conversation with a cherished friend, family member or a special child.
Gratitude hearing familiar music from the past or gratitude singing along to song lyrics at a concert, karaoke, in the car or shower.
It could be a time in your childhood-maybe between the ages 6-10- when we were creative and fearless with joy.
Or, celebrating with someone very close to us that ushers in the feel goodness of gratitude.
Truly sit in this insulated space where your heart’s smile stretches wide in the memory, the emotion, and the energy dance of gratitude!
This might be how you feel the essence and goodness of you.
Gratitude can be full of hope and healing.
Gratitude can put our arms out strong when stress, shame, habits, health and life bombard us.
Gratitude can feel free, gentle, and dream-like.
Gratitude centers and connect us within and to others and to our world.
Gratitude can be freedom from disturbance.
Gratitude can be quiet, calm, settled, balance.
Gratitude can be filled with tranquility, and harmony.
Gratitude can have vibrant colors; Gratitude can be white, or Gratitude can be the absence of color.
Gratitude can be a formed and defined shape or shapeless.
Gratitude can be enormous or a speck.
Feel, touch, hold, heart-see and mindfully remember Gratitude in you.
Once again, offer yourself a number within a scale of 0 to 10. Lock in how Gratitude feels to you in this genuine moment (no-judgment or overthinking).
